Privacy & Data

We collect as little as we can. Analytics only run if you say yes. The only personal detail we ask for is your email, so we can send you the free sample pack — plus a few optional preferences to tailor what we share. You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time, and we will.

Email address — when you request the free sample pack, so we can deliver it. Required for that purpose only.

Your preferences — the genres and content types you pick, and optionally the artists you mention, so we can tailor what we send. Optional beyond the minimum needed to submit.

Approximate location — when you submit the form, we do a best-effort lookup of your city/region/ country from your IP address to understand where our audience is. If the lookup fails, we simply skip it.

Usage analytics — only if you accept analytics in the consent banner. We record a small, fixed set of interaction events (e.g. page viewed, pack requested) to improve the site. Analytics are tied to a random identifier, not your email.

These are two different things. The single email delivering your download link is sent because you asked for the pack — it is not marketing, and everyone who requests the pack receives it. Separately, we only email you updates (new packs, plugins, tips) if you tick the opt-in box when requesting the pack. That box is never pre-ticked, and declining it does not affect your download. You can unsubscribe from updates at any time.

Gain Audio is the data controller for the personal data described here — we decide why it's collected and are responsible for it. We use a small number of third-party processors to run the site, each only receiving what it needs, and each storing our data in the EU:

• Supabase (EU region) — stores your form submission (email, preferences, approximate location, consent choice) in our database.
• Resend (EU data region) — sends the one email delivering your pack download link. Receives your email address only to send that message.
• Mixpanel (EU data region) — receives anonymous usage events, only with your consent. No email.
• ipapi.co — receives your IP address at lookup time to return an approximate location. We do not store your IP ourselves.
• Vercel — hosts the site.

Some processors may transfer data outside your country under appropriate safeguards (e.g. standard contractual clauses).

We keep your lead details until you ask us to delete them — there is no automatic expiry. If you ask for deletion (see below), we remove your data promptly.

The site sets nothing non-essential unless you accept analytics. We store one small item to remember your consent choice so we do not keep asking. If you accept analytics, Mixpanel stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage. Declining leaves both off.

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email hi@gainaud.io. We aim to respond within one month.
